How RentWise compares prices

Most rental aggregators rank results by who pays them the highest commission. RentWise doesn't. We pull a snapshot of typical airport daily, weekly, and monthly rates from the five largest US rental brands across 6 common vehicle classes — Economy, Midsize, SUV, Minivan, Luxury, and Van/Cargo — and present them side by side, with no reordering tricks.

For every US airport in our database, you'll see a one-page comparison: which brand has the cheapest economy car this week, which has the better SUV rate, and which one is worth a second look because of perks (Hertz Gold Plus, National Emerald Aisle, Enterprise Plus). We also show per-mile fuel cost estimates, recommended seat counts, and bag capacity so a one-click decision actually lines up with reality at the curb.

What's included on every airport page

  • Daily, weekly, and monthly rate ranges per brand and vehicle class
  • Pickup-location guide: terminal counter vs. Consolidated Rental Car Facility shuttle
  • Price-tier breakdown (Budget · Standard · Premium)
  • Top rental companies serving that airport, with brand quick-facts
  • Insider tips: shuttle wait times, prepaid fuel policies, young-driver fees
  • Filterable vehicle category grid with class icons and seat / bag specs
  • Loyalty program comparison and upgrade tactics

Why we built it this way

Airport pickup is the highest-friction moment in any trip. You've just walked off a plane, you're hungry, the line is long, and the agent is offering a $24/day "premium fuel package" you didn't budget for. RentWise's promise is simple: walk up to the counter knowing the fair price for your exact car class at your exact airport, so the only conversation you need to have is "I'll keep my reservation, thanks."
